Improv Quote of the Day: Making Sense

flag of Denmark

A musician playing popular genres is much less inclined to play something which is incomprehensible to himself, he will always try to put himself into it, whereas many classical musicians, according to my opinion, too often play like robots, because the responsibility for what they play has been deposited somewhere else – in the notes and with the conductor.
